Recruits debut in summer league

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Nate Adrian sank his first three 3-pointers, Brandon Watkins used his long arms to combat his shortness of breath, and Devin Williams showed the physique and perimeter shooting to become the stretch-4 forward WVU lacked last season.

Check out their highlights and postgame reactions after West Virginia’s freshman basketball signees made their debuts Monday night at the Pittsburgh Pro-Am Summer League.

Watkins’ appearance was most noteworthy because he has enrolled for the second session of summer school. WVU is still awaiting word on the standardized test scores of Elijah Macon, who was listed as a teammate of Williams’ on The Lair’s roster but did not attend Monday’s game.
