Sprint Wireless customers once again have clear communication with the Jefferson County 911.
The Jefferson County Emergency Communications Center said Tuesday that an audio problem with 911 calls in Jefferson County made by Sprint customers has been resolved.
The problem was that when customers called 911, the dispatchers wouldn’t be able to hear them. However, the caller could hear the dispatcher.
An issue still remains with sending the location of a caller to dispatchers. The communication center said the location of Sprint wireless customers isn’t always sent to dispatchers.
The company is working to fix the problem.
Customers with other cell carriers were not impacted by the problem.
