Lunsford out of jail

WHEELING, W.Va. — The mother of a missing Lewis County girl is no longer in jail.

On Thursday, U.S. Federal Magistrate James Siebert released Lena Lunsford who was arrested for twice violating the terms of her supervised release last month.

Lunsford is on probation after serving time behind bars for selling her federal food stamp benefits.

Those monitoring Lunsford said she has continued to violate the terms of her probation by having contact with a convicted felon, the father of the child of what will be her eighth child.

Any more problems could lead to a contempt of court filing against her.

Lunsford’s three-year old daughter Aliayah has never been found after disappearing from the family’s home in Lewis County in September 2011.
