SANDSTONE, W.Va. — A CSX train derailed Monday afternoon in Summers County.

A CSX spokesman said 20 cars of a 100 freight car train jumped the tracks near Sandstone at around 3:15 p.m. Ten of the derailed cars were on their sides and the other 10 upright.

The two-engine train was headed from Hinton to Newport News, Virginia.

CSX said there were no injuries reported and no immediate impacts to the public.

A company clean-up crew was dispatched to the scene.

? Sandstone is west of Hinton if it was traveling Hinton to Newport news could not be in Sandstone .

But then again these "reporters" have had the Buy Scout jamboree going on in Beckley and Raleigh County when actually it's in Glen Jean and Fayette County. Needless to say passing a Geography class or having a sense of direction is not a prerequisite for employment with MetroNews.

"A CSX spokesman said" - consider the source.

      My first thought as well.
