3 Doors Down to entertain Boy Scouts

GLEN JEAN, W.Va. — The group 3 Doors Down will perform Saturday night at the National Boy Scouts Jamboree in Fayette County.

The Boy Scouts of America announced Friday the popular group will headline the concert at the Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, the site of the Jamboree.

BSA originally announced Carly Rae Jepsen and Train would perform but both dropped out back in March over the controversy about the Boy Scouts exclusion of gays. The BSA has since agreed to a new policy that will allow for gay Boy Scouts but not gay leaders.

There are approximately 40,000 scouts in attendance at the Jamboree, which will run into the middle of next week.
