Busy mall getting new outside look

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Charleston Town Center Mall is getting an outdoor facelift.

Mall officials announced Wednesday the work will begin soon on the Court Street entrance in downtown Charleston. The mall completed a $7 million interior facelift last year.

The streetscape project will include the replacement of all sidewalks leading to the mall along with adding green space. An existing loading zone will also be eliminated.

The goal is have the work done by November 1 ahead of the Christmas shopping season.
