BOWDEN, W.Va. — A bridge in Randolph County will soon bear the name of a trooper killed in the line of duty.

A dedication ceremony is scheduled Saturday for the Brian William Linn Memorial Bridge in Bowden.

Linn was killed Nov. 3, 2007, while responding to a call for assistance by a fellow trooper. Linn, who was 25, was stationed in Charles Town at the time.

Linn was a military veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The bridge is located on Route 33, east of Elkins.
