Biden will headline WV Democratic fundraiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Vice President Joe Biden plans to visit West Virginia on Oct. 12 to deliver the keynote address at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at the Charleston Civic Center.

Vice President Joe Biden will speak at this year’s Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

Officials with the state Democratic Party confirmed Biden’s visit for the annual fundraiser that’s being dedicated to longtime U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller this year.

After 50 years in public service, Rockefeller is not seeking re-election next year.

“I can think of no better person to highlight the years of service Senator Rockefeller has given to our state and country than Vice President Biden,” said state Democratic Party Chairman Larry Puccio in a statement.

More information about the event is available at www.wvdemocrats.com or by calling the state Democratic Party headquarters at 304-342-8121.
