Marion County man facing multiple charges pertaining to children

FARMINGTON, W.Va. — A Marion County man is facing multiple charges including child sexual abuse.

James Paul Kendall, 31, of Farmington, was arrested Monday and charged for ten felony counts of using a minor to film sexually explicit conduct, five counts of possession of child pornography, six counts of first degree sexual assault on a child under the age of twelve and two counts of child sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or other person in a position of trust to a child.

A State Police release said an investigation conducted by the Crimes Against Children Unit revealed that Kendall had sexually abused two five year old boys and then took photographs of them in sexually explicit positions. He also possessed hundreds of child pornographic photographs and videos.

In addition, the investigation revealed that Kendall would also grab his young victims by the throat and choke them as he sexually abused them.

Kendall is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $1,200,000.00 cash or surety bond.
