BECKLEY, W.Va. — The Convoy of Hope will make a stop in West Virginia this weekend to provide a day of free goods and services.
The faith-based organization founded in 1994 will be in Beckley on Saturday at the YMCA Soccer Complex.
During the one-day free celebration, Convoy of Hope will be offering $1 million in free goods and services including groceries, haircuts, dental check-ups, health services, and workforce development services. The organization plans a kids carnival on site.
The Beckley community event is one of many Convoy of Hope will host in 2013 throughout the United States. The organization held a similar event in Hawaii where more than 15,000 guests attended.
The event is co-sponsored by numerous local business, organizations and churches.
Gates are scheduled to open at 10 a.m.
