  • The friend the teenager confided in

He's still sitting in prison. And there has been medical evidence to prove him guilty. Obviously NO ONE knew him as well as they thought.

  • Friend of the Family

I have known this man many years and have spent a significant amount of time with him. Anyone who knows him personally would definitely found all this very hard to believe. I also have read the 28 page statement of the supposed victim. Needless to say it has many (not just a few) sections in it that would make anyone even a random person with no affiliation with the family question the validity of the accusations stated within. Even more so if you do happen to know him. Though in these types of situations/cases one usually must remain bias because of the disturbing nature of the accusations. I for one lean more towards the side of his innocence. I hope he is able to obtain proper justice in this terrible situation and if found not guilty all the media and journalism sites post the verdict as hastily as they post the alleged claims that will forever haunt him and his family.

  • Not Sure

I live in Calhoun, first I want to say there are a lot of rumors over this. I have heard that the "CHILD" that made the allegations has had a very rough life. This is not to say that she has lied about it. I also heard that the " step Mother" has stated a few things that makes it sound that the allegations are believe able even though she ( step mom) says its a lie. We also hear that there is proof . We also heard a lie- detector was given but haven't heard the results. All I am saying is the truth should come out in court. I personally do not know any involved so I can't say either way but remember people always say" I can't beleive they did it" after they find bodies or someone confesses about a horrible crime. We all need to remember if it is a lie it horrible for this man to have to live with this the rest of his life, and the child is crying out for help. If its true I hope he burns in H$&&.

I read this and I am sickened. Either way, if charges are true or turn out to be false, I am sickened. We need to hold our elected officials to a higher standard. Why, because they are paid to make judgements on our behave. We can't let them bring charges that are false because we "automatically" believe the accuser. Proof is needed every step of the way. That is the American way and we as tax payers and those that elect and trust these individuals need to pay dearly (via our taxes) when a miscarriage of justice occurs. Either not believing the accused when evidence is available or being overly aggressive in prosecution when evidence is suspect.

  • The nose knows

Know him personally and have known him well for many years. Perfect gentleman. One of the few in the world. Lots of morals. More than most. His crime? Angering his teenage daughter who was obsessed with wearing slutty clothes, hanging on older men, and wanting to be "emancipated"..... We're all praying for him.

I believe he has only had custody of her for a little over 2 years. I do know that they said one time that they caught her secretly talking to her real mom and step father through face book a while back and that they were trying to put her up to things and telling her to fight them on everything they tried to do and not to listen to them. I also have been told by others that before she came up with this rape story she was telling people that she was going to get emancipated so she could do whatever she wanted.

If this guy is "innocent" he's probably going to get the shaft as far as the system is concerned. It's always said, innocent until proven guilty, but that's definitely not the case, it's guilty until proven innocent. But, if it turns out that he is actually guilty, then he deserves to be castrated at the very least. It also appears the the "daughter" had issues with the Dad trying to provide some sort of structure in the family. It she was a troubled teen, then her family is to blame for not getting her the proper help that she needed.

    Is he from boogerhole ?

People really don't believe in Heaven and Hell I guess. So hell is going to be busy. It will make a West Virginia prison look like a Hilton Hotel.

I also know this guy pretty well and know his family and "someonewhoknowshim" is right. He is not at all that type of person and his daughter does have some major issues and needs some evaluation. It is sad to see that someone's whole life can be ripped to shreads by a mad teenager who is not getting her way.

God help him then because the system is front loaded to really put the burden of proof upon the person accused. We know that under normal circumstances the law is supposed to put the burden of proof upon the accuser, but in these cases of alleged sexual abuse - particularly those involving a minor - the burden in all reality becomes an exercise in "prove you didn't do it."

I know. The Joe Lavigne ordeal was, and still is, sickening.

17 years later and he still sits in a prison unjustly.

  • someonewhoknowshim

I know this man very well and know the situation and he is innocent and falsely accused. His teen daughter is very troubled and has a habitual lying problem. She spent the first 9 years of her life with her biological mother and stepfather who had her taken away for neglect and abuse before Jeremy got custody of her. The child was angry because he and his wife were strict parents and would not allow her to do things that she wanted. He is a good person and does not deserve this, and his daughter needs some serious mental help and anyone who really knows him well will tell you the same.

If found guilty, he should be executed at once. No need for the taxpayers of this state to have anymore of their money spent on a pos like this.

And if not found guilty based on some troubled girls lies, how many millions should the state pay him for falsely imprisoning , and most likely, torturing him in solitary?... based solely on the words of this troubled kid.
