State Troopers make multi-DUI arrests during holiday weekend

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — State Police made 49 DUI arrests over the Labor Day weekend.

Troopers investigated a total of 62 auto accidents; five of those were alcohol-related.

There were nine traffic-related deaths from Friday, August 30 to Monday, Sept. 2 in the Mountain State. Those were investigated by county sheriff’s deputies and city police officers. State Troopers were not the lead agency on any of the deadly wrecks.
