Weirton teen charged with murder

WEIRTON, W.Va. — Police have charged a teenager with murder after a Sunday morning shooting death.

Investigators allege 18-year-old Adam Barnhart of Weirton shot and killed Frank Tulock during a fight near Hudson and Orchard streets at about 3 a.m. Sunday.

Adam Barnhart is charged with murder in the shooting death of Frank Tulock.

Police received a call about an argument and shots fired. When they arrived they found Tulock lying on the ground. He had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers found Barnhart hiding in bushes along Hudson Avenue a short time after the shooting. Police spent the night searching for the gun believed used in the shooting.

Investigators said it doesn’t appear Tulock was part of the initial fight.

Barnhart is being held without bail in the Northern Regional Jail.
