Calhoun County man on the run

GRANTSVILLE, W.Va. — Police in Calhoun County are looking for a man who took off from the county’s magistrate court in Grantsville Tuesday night.

Joseph Kute

Joseph Kute had been on home confinement after an earlier arrest on stalking and reckless driving charges but he allegedly violated the terms and was set to face a magistrate.

Kute ran from the building, jumped in the Little Kanawha River, swam across and ran into the woods according to court officials.
