State PSC appoints new Consumer Advocate Division Director

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Public Service Commission has a new Director of the Consumer Advocate Division.

The PSC issued an order Wednesday appointing Jacqueline Lake Roberts as the new Director of the Consumer Advocate Division (CAD).

Roberts currently serves as a Deputy Consumer Advocate. She previously was the Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy for EnerNOC, Inc.

As senior manager, she was responsible for state regulatory matters, Commission proceedings, litigation, legislative issues for a nine state region, and regional transmission issues in MISO and PJM.

Roberts is also admitted to practice law before the Unites States Supreme Court and the Bar of the Supreme Courts of West Virginia, Ohio, New Hampshire, Vermont and Nevada.

She replaces Byron Harris, who is retiring. Harris had been director since 2007.

The CAD is responsible for representing consumers before the Commission.
