Man survives being hit by train

BUFFALO, W.Va. A man struck by a train in Putnam County on Friday was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. along Charleston Road near the Buffalo Bridge.

Deputies said Jonathan Higginbotham, 23, was walking on the tracks between Buffalo and Midway when he was hit by the train. Deputies said Higginbotham was dragged beneath the train for several feet.

He was transported to CAMC General Hospital.
