did a little research . childresses father was an all amercan at a&m , did a decade in the pros with Houston. Texans, like West Virginians, love to take care of their own - especially the children of legacy athletes ... WHY , isn't this kid at UT or A&M? I don't think he grew praying to be a Mountaineer ... if he had a scintilla of athletic ability he wouldn't be in Morgantown ... if Holgerson can't turn this mule into a thoroughbred he'll get fired for this failure , not the accumulated losses to WVU ... someone had to pressure/pay someone to take this turkey into the program and PLAY him ahead of others . . .could his participation be a string attached to entry into the XII? his presence over four years in the lineup will kill the WVU program for over a decade. I hope holliday is interested in the job , but I hope he's smart enough not to touch WVU till childresses eligibility runs out ... this kid is a coach killer ... too much political push behind a turkey that has no talent for the job ...

Believe it or not there are kids out there who CHOOSE to come to WVU. WVU has things going for it that you may choose not to see because you are all too worried about the football team having overnight success. Sure these kids would like to have success on the football field, but they also want to go somewhere where they feel they will get the opportunity to play and not spend 4-5 years warming the bench. Look at poor Clint Trickett, he left Florida because he wasn't getting play time came to WV where everyone thought, at the time, he was a shoe in to get plenty of playtime. Now after brief moments on the field he is being left on the bench again for a redshirt freshman with a cannon instead of an arm....now if we could just have the o-line to defend this kid and the RB's maybe, just maybe the WVU offense could put some numbers on the board. What these kids don't need is to be continuously critiqued by a bunch of couch critics who don't know the whole story and forget that these are kids, young adults at best, on the field and the comments that you make can be taken to heart. Think about what you are writing before you post it, how would you feel it someone were posting the same thing about your child?

The kid has no offensive line, inexperienced receivers. The only thing he has is running backs and they can't run because the line can't block.

Big Larry and William - Please, please get married (to one another), move to Russia (forever) and hopefully Putin takes your computer(s) away from you for the rest of your lifetimes!
You two are ABSOLUTELY the most disgusting/negative posters I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Why don't you two just watch your soapoperas (together) in your Marshall nighties and then go to the soapopera website and let those readers become as sick of you as the rest of us are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually there's nothing the fans can do other than accept this season for what it is. As with all seasons win some, loose some, actually it's something that happens to every team. The difference here is the unrealistic goals of the fans. These coaches gave up their homes to move here to WV and I'm sure they will make every attempt to correct this situation. The better they do the easier it will be to get a better job at a better program, that's really what coaching is all about. Want a "true West Virginian" we'll had one and he went on to a better job period. The other two Saban and Fischer, we'll I'm sure they would love to give up what they have and come home, go head give them a call.

I'LL FIX IT

Big Larry, I wouldn't bet on beating Iowa St. and Kansas isn't a lock. I think Kansas is better than William & Mary and that game was in doubt for most of the contest.

The only two teams WVU now stands a chance of beating is Kansas and Iowa state.
It is so comforting to know that those two teams (Kansas & Iowa State) will "NOT" continue to get better as the season progresses and WVU will....
