One dead in Jackson County crash

RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. — A deadly automobile accident closed a section of Interstate 77 in Jackson County for more than two hours Wednesday morning.

Police said a driver lost control of a Jeep and it crashed at around 3:30 a.m. between the Ravenswood and Medina exits. A person in the vehicle was killed. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

The interstate’s northbound lanes were closed until about 6 a.m.
