WVU tops Playboy party school list

LOS ANGELES — For the first time, West Virginia University sits at the top of Playboy’s Top Ten Party Schools list this year.

The list, which is featured in the October issue of Playboy, is as follows:

1. West Virginia University

2. University of Wisconsin

3. University of Colorado

4. University of Southern California

5. Florida State University

6. University of Texas

7. Louisiana State University

8. University of Georgia

9. Arizona State University

10. University of Maryland

Staffers with the magazine said, to compile the list, they used data from resources including the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, the U.S. Economic Census and feedback from social media users.

Last year, the University of Virginia held the top spot.
