Murder investigation underway in McDowell County

MOHAWK, W.Va. — A McDowell County man is dead and police are calling it a murder case.

McDowell County Sheriff Martin West released information Friday about the shooting death of Harry Arnold Edwards, 63, of Mohawk.

The news release said Edwards died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Deputies found his body in the Mohawk area at just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

An investigation is underway.
