High school football player seriously injured

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A South Harrison High School football player was hospitalized following a serious injury during a game against Lincoln Friday night.

According to the Clarksburg Exponent, Dylan Jeffries underwent surgery at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for a blood clot on his brain, which led to swelling.

Jeffries, a senior, was taken from the field on a stretcher midway through the fourth quarter.
