One person killed in Kanawha County crash

LAKEWOOD, W.Va. — One person has died in a deadly car accident in Kanawha County.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday on Bellwood Drive in Lakewood.

Dispatchers said the driver of the car lost control of his vehicle and rolled into a ditch.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

A passenger in the car was not injured.

Police are investigating what caused the driver to lose control.
