Fugitive from justice caught in Putnam County

SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va. — A man wanted in connection to a 2012 homicide investigation in California has been arrested in Putnam County.

Federal marshals arrested Michael Anthony Daniels, 60, Wednesday night at a home on Teays Valley Road in Scott Depot. He is charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Daniels was wanted in connection with the August 8, 2012 murder of Jessica Brastow, 37, in Vallejo, California.

U.S. Marshals got a tip that Daniels might be living in Scott Depot following the murder.

He was arrested without incident and taken to the Western Regional Jail to await extradition to California.
