MARMET, W.Va. — A Marmet woman is wanted by police in connection with the disappearance of Kareem Hunter.

A warrant was issued Thursday in Kanawha County Magistrate Court charging Kelsey Marie Legg, 19, with felony murder in the case.

According to the criminal complaint, detectives from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Matthew Legg, Kelsey Legg’s brother, on Wednesday and learned that Kelsey told him she had lured Hunter to her apartment on September 23, the day Hunter was last seen.

Kelsey Legg is wanted for the murder of Kareem Hunter

The interview further revealed that the purpose for luring Hunter to her apartment on 83rd Street in Marmet, was so he could be kidnapped.

The complaint states that Matt Legg told detectives he heard the incident taking place in his sister’s apartment. He also said he observed two men removing the body and placing into the trunk of a car. Matt Legg identified the body as that of Hunter and that Hunter was dead.

Following the interview, detectives obtained a search warrant for Kelsey Legg’s apartment and found evidence of a violent crime, the complaint states. Large suspected blood stains and splatters were found in various locations in the apartment.

The complaint adds that witnesses indicated that the apartment was cleaned, the walls were repainted and the carpet was replaced after the incident took place.

Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information on Legg’s whereabouts is asked to immediately call 304-357-0169 or submit a tip on our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.

She lured some guy to her apartment? It must have been some wily ways that I don't see.

The article didn't indicate what age Kareem Hunter was.
If you ask me she doesn't have a Legg to stand on in this case.
