Circleville man allegedly killed his father

CIRCLEVILLE, W.VA. — State Troopers have charged a Pendleton County man in the death of his father.

John William Smith

Troopers got a call Saturday about shots fired at a home in Circleville. When they arrived they found John Conway Smith, 83, dead of a shotgun wound. Troopers arrested his son, John William Smith, 54, of Circleville, who was at the home and charged him with murder.

Smith is in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail without bail.
