Fatal rollover crash in Barbour County

TACY, W.Va — One person was killed in a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Barbour County.

The fatal accident happened on Route 38 in Tacy around 2:20 p.m.

Deputies said emergency crews attempted to cut the man out of the truck, but he died at the scene. He was transported to Broaddus Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two dogs were also in the truck but appeared to be uninjured, according to deputies.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
