Search warrants served at four pharmacies in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. — Four Best Care Pharmacies in Harrison County were searched Wednesday morning as part of an investigation.

Federal agents served search warrants at Best Care Pharmacies in Bridgeport, Belington, Lumberport, and Weston.

The Harrison County Drug Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration officials were at the pharmacies.

The Local Task Force, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Drug Enforcement Agency were all on scene at the Best Care Pharmacy in Weston.

In an interview with Connect-Bridgeport, one of the Best Care Pharmacy owners, Mario Blount, made a statement that the search warrants were served as part of an ongoing federal investigation of a local doctor.

According to Connect-Bridgeport, a recent raid on the offices of Dr. Edita Milan, located on Main Street, had taken place June 27.

Not much information is being released at this time by the U.S. Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues.
