Game with Louisville moved to 2016

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.– Marshall’s scheduled home game with Louisville next season has been pushed back a couple of years.  Marshall announced Tuesday that it will play host to the Cardinals in in 2016.

The game was scheduled for Sept. 27, 2014 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, but Louisville needed to accommodate scheduling requirements with its admission into the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Now, Louisville will make its return trip to Huntington on Sept. 24, 2016.

Marshall is now looking for a replacement game next season.

The Thundering Herd beat the Cardinals at Papa John’s Stadium 17-13 in 2011.
