Two dead in Wyoming County fire

NEW RICHMOND, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a deadly fire from last weekend.

Investigators released information Tuesday about the Saturday morning blaze that took place at a residence near the community of New Richmond in Wyoming County. The fire claimed the lives of a 63-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man.

Investigators said a third person in the home was able to escape and was not injured.

The cause of the blaze is undetermined but remains under investigation according to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
