Weirton mother charged with arson to undergo psych evaluation

HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. — A Weirton mother charged with arson will undergo psychological evaluation before going to trial.

The attorney of Brenda Sue Boyer confirmed Wednesday that she will undergo the evaluation at the end of October to determine if she is competent to stand trial.

Boyer is charged with first degree arson for allegedly setting on fire her daughter’s mobile home in Weirton back in June.

Boyer’s trial date is set for November 22
