State lawmakers begin interim committee meetings

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — State lawmakers have interim committee meetings scheduled at the state capitol beginning Monday morning.

The Joint Committee on Finance will hear a presentation first thing Monday morning addressing how the federal government shutdown has impacted the state budget.

A topic of discussion in previous monthly meetings, proposed pay raises for county elected officials, is set for more discussion Monday.

There will also be a number of meetings Tuesday and Wednesday.
