VICTOR, W.Va. — A Fayette County man was arrested by State Police this week on animal cruelty charges.

Troopers allege Michael Wayne Ford, 56, of Victor, boxed up 4 cats and 8 kittens and threw them on a fire. Troopers were able to recover the remains of 7 animals shortly after arriving on the scene at 7 p.m. Monday.

Investigators said Ford’s wife told them her husband had been complaining about the cats and she saw him start the fire but didn’t know what he was planning to do. A stepson tried to save the animals but could not.

A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for Ford.

Pathetic, this draws responses but nothing written for "Father charged with shaking daughter, seriously injuring her"

    What is wrong with us?

This guy is clearly a waste of life... I agree with GregG... Put him in a box and throw set a fire. Those poor animals! Nothing deserves to be treated that way, especially helpless kittens. This should be a felony charge!

Put Mr. Ford in a box and throw him in a fire. That would save the tax payers a lot of money that will be wasted on this piece of scums legal proceedings.
