ELKINS, W.Va. — Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department were questioning a person of interest Monday in connection with a deadly hit and run accident.
It happened early Sunday morning along Route 219 and Route 250 in Elkins.
Sheriff Mark Brady said the victim was Clinton Lee Deem, 24, who was formerly of Clarksburg, but was living in Elkins at the time of his death.
His body was found along the five lane at 11 a.m. Sunday. Sheriff Brady said investigators believe Deem had been hit, while walking, around 3 a.m. Surveillance video captured the incident.
