FORT WORTH, Texas — While TCU coach Gary Patterson credited West Virginia for overcoming a two-touchdown deficit, he felt Saturday’s 30-27 overtime loss had more to do with his own team self-destructing.

“To be honest with you, we gave one away,” he said. “That’s about as simple as I can tell you how it is.

“Fumble on the 2-yard line (in the third quarter). Personal foul in overtime. Four turnovers. You’re not going to win many ballgames doing that.”

Same situation last year. We lost in overtime on our home field. This year They lost in overtime on their field! It's ironic, wouldn't you say. Go Mountaineers

As Frank Sinatra once stated, "That's life"!

  • squad

they came from 10 behind to tie at the end of the game...gave it away? I know he means the turnovers but c'mon.

First time Gary Patterson coached TCU team has ever dropped 3 straight games. WVU should feel glad that got out of there with a victory.

Patterson knows TCU may only win one more game the rest of the season. with Iowa St., KSU and Baylor left on their schedule. Their bowl hopes are probably gone.

We were the ones that almost gave it away they stink worse than us.

We still stink! If we are not any better coach will be fired!

I think it was basically a comedy of errors,,, more than once trickett tried his best to give it away, but inspite of his poor play, we won, andthat's what matters,,, we won.

Say what you want about Gary Patterson but he's a great coach. Our players just wanted it more than theirs.

TCU dominated the WAC and the Mountain West and routinely won 10-11 games. Enter the BIG 12 and they have struggled mightly. Sound familar? However, I don't think anyone in Fort Worth is calling for Patterson's head.

Boo-hoo. To be honest, we gave one away last year to quit your whining.
