Watch: Patterson says TCU ‘gave one away’

FORT WORTH, Texas — While TCU coach Gary Patterson credited West Virginia for overcoming a two-touchdown deficit, he felt Saturday’s 30-27 overtime loss had more to do with his own team self-destructing.

“To be honest with you, we gave one away,” he said. “That’s about as simple as I can tell you how it is.

“Fumble on the 2-yard line (in the third quarter). Personal foul in overtime. Four turnovers. You’re not going to win many ballgames doing that.”
