Plea hearings Wednesday in Logan County arson investigation

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — Two men charged in connection with a Logan County arson investigation are expected to plead guilty Wednesday.

A plea hearing is scheduled for James Glick at 9:30 a.m. in U.S. District Court. A plea hearing for Guy Miller is set for 10:30 a.m.

Glick is the owner of “317 Steakhouse” on Stratton Street in Logan. Federal Prosecutors said Glick bought a building across the street from his restaurant and set it on fire. He then collected $1 million in insurance money.

Miller, William Thompson, and Shawn Simon are accused of helping Glick carry out the scheme.

Plea hearings are also set for Thompson and Simon on Thursday. Simon’s is set for 9:30 a.m. while Thompson’s is at 10:30 a.m.
