Man dies in Jackson County crash

LEROY, W.Va. — A Roane County man died in a traffic accident Wednesday morning in Jackson County.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies said the 21-year-old victim drove his vehicle across the center lineĀ on Route 33 in Leroy and slammed into an oncoming pick-up truck. He died at the scene. His name has not been released. The truck driver was not injured.

The crash happened at about 7 a.m.
