  • WVIRGINIAN FOR LIFE

Most WV teams never travel outside the state or far from home. So how is this system fair? Every year there are surprises. Why? Because some are ranked higher than they should be and others ranked lower than they should be. Oh well. Good luck to everyone!

  • EP Haters

Now now everybody....little Matthew's son is the University HS QB. He's been propping him up as the best QB in the state all year. Your son could have 6 years of eligibility and still wouldn't win a state title.

    • Reaper

EP!!! Your exactly correct on that one. Besides, we both know Matt and his boy will be left crying once they lose in the 2nd round. Honestly, I dont think they make it that far. That depends on the health of the Mohigans.

  • roger

Hey matt, your an idiot for the comment that you made. No matter though you all will have alot of trouble with motown. If something crazy would happen that you all get by them you all will have nothing but trouble looming over head. I hope you make it so you can come to martinsburg so they can crush that over rated QB you all have.

  • Nicole

Once again the complaining from Mo town (Matt)cracks me up.Its ironic how the 2 teams hv to play again.Oh my will the tensions be high through out the city.I couldn't imagine.
Get over the previous losses. It's done move on.Whether your team played poorly ect. Why does it always go back to WP?
Martinsburg should be #1 if not than who should?

  • Say What?

Hoosier, your grammar sucks. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to communicate to us. I will go ask my 8-year-old grandchild if she understands your jibberish.

  • Jay

Without a doubt, Martinsburg has been the team to beat for the past couple years and maybe even longer. I'd say Wheeling Park's runningback combination of Paige and Ingram could run for yards on ANYBODY. Both talented kids. Morgantown might be better without Thomas, less suspecting that he'll get the ball every time! University can beat Morgantown again, they just have to show up to play and not have any mental errors on the field. Great match ups

  • Matt

Nobody whinning just a tough draw for #5 team, by the way never once said WP was not a good team, but without a doubt University played a terrible game that night, and Morgantown stepped it up a notch in the 4th qtr agianst them. By the way how good would either of these teams be if there star player got another year of high school sports? Owell let the games begin, and yes Martinsburg should be ranked #1 until beaten, and as soon as they do we wont have to hear about it. GL to all teams.

    • Reaper

Matt, some of these other guys might let you off the hook for going soft in your rhetoric. I wont. I am so sick of you and the constant whining about how University played a bad game. PLEASE!!! You got beat! Parks defense CHASED Renner all night. Sacked him, and shut down the passing attack. If Park played University's schedule and a weakened Mohigans team, they'd be 10-0. Have the balls to admit you just got beat by a better team.

    • 1Prouddog

Matt still crying over spilled milk! See the writing on the wall don't you son! 4PEAT COMING!!! Tissues Matt??? LOL

  • RJ

Watch out for Magnolia they could be a very dangerous 14 seed playing really good right now

  • 1Prouddog

Some really good match-ups all the way through AAA playoffs. GO DOGS!!!...4 PEAT!!!

  • 1Prouddog

david t....man you might want to stay humble on your post. Point doesn't want to mess with Park! Speed kills! And from what I understand about Park that have some! I guess if you do beat Logan your gonna find out! I for one don't cheer teams that play soft schedules to advance deep in the playoffs....No matter what part of the state they are from.

    • Reaper

1Prouddog, well said. Point Pleasant schedule is weak. Not trying to irritate Point fans, but beating a bunch of soft teams then playing a true caliber team isnt good. It'll kill you in the playoffs. Thats why Martinsburg plays the best teams and Park plays Stuebenville, Oh., Morgantown and whoever else will play them.

    • HHS grad

Point's schedule is terribly weak and even if they did go 10-0 (congrats to the team) it doesn't justify such a high ranking. SC/Park winner will be a rough time time for them. But anyways good luck to the alma mater, go Redskins lol! But the title will stay in Martinsburg.

      • wvu!!

Huntington won't make it past 3rd round watch and see..

  • david T

Point and Logan in a rematch of reg season, in our house but will be same result, it'll be cool seeing Wheeling Park making the long journey to Point in 2nd round..were 2-0 agaisnt northern panhandle teams this year in Brooke and Oak Glen, granted this will be a lot tougher, i know nothing about WP.

    • Mother Goose

"were 2-0 agaisnt northern panhandle teams this year in Brooke and Oak Glen"
      LOL!!!
You paper tigers never will admit to playing a weak schedule will you. Brooke was 3-7 and Oak Glen, a AA team were 0-10!!!
It's gonna be funny to see point actually play a superior team and lose on their own turf.

      • wvu!!

They played Morgan town last yr losing by 2 touchdowns you can look at numbers all day go to the games. Watch how these teams play. I have went to several different games this yr watching diff schools and i promise you point pleasant has some of the best athletes in the state and will compete with anyone...

  • Hoosier

Let's bring it to wheeling man bunch of bs that 8-2 williamstown jumps from 10th to 4th we will see them 2nd round at willly town and move on to get Madonna repeat of 2009 just different players

  • Crystal

    Let's go KEYSER!!

  • Mburg fan

Go Dogs - pray all goes well the rest of the way. Congrats to Washington seems like a long trip to Cable Midland - I know you guys will get the job done. Go Panhandle!!!!

  • Matt

Bunch of BS! Do you really think there are 11 teams in this state better than Morgantown? I am a University parent and no i dont want to play them agian this soon, thses 2 teams are both top 5. Hawk defense will rise agian and Travis Renner will pick Mohigan defense apart this time around. Look for Armstrong and Richardson to haul on many passes and Neville needs to get outside this game. RJ Martin needs to continue running hard and Renner will bust 2-3 long runs. Hawks 31- MHS 17.

    • Reaper

Yes!!! I do believe those teams are better than Morgantown WITHOUT Thomas. Silly rabbit. You cry and moan constantly. I hope Thomas is a lot better this time around and you can suck your thumb and cry in a corner. Even if the Hawks survive round one, they'll be gone in round 2.

To the Bulldog faithfull, good luck. It'll be interesting seeing if the Dogs can 4 peat. Im a Parkfan

      • Reaper

That can be honest in calling it the way it is. The Dogs are #1 till some one beats them.

      • 1Prouddog

I agree Reaper! Give Matt a bottle! DOGS should do well...Best wishes to Park! Its an exciting time to be a high school football fan in WV! This is BETTER than watching Marshmallow and WVwho Universities??!! LOL

    • dan

      Yep sure looks that way!!!!

    • Mburg fan

The wvssac uses a system to do their calculation. This calculation results in a score that you see across from each school and the school is ranked according to its score. It is probably not the best way to rank the teams; however, it is the system?

    • 1Prouddog

wow Matt.....how old are you? In order to be the best you have to beat the best! It don't matter where the chips fall...deal with it! Good thing you don't have to play cause with your attitude you'll would be goners already! GEESH! Its just a game.......
