Oak Hill’s Eddie Souk retires

OAK HILL, W.Va. — According to multiple reports, Oak Hill head football coach Eddie Souk is retiring after leading the Red Devils to the playoffs the past two seasons.

Oak Hill (8-3) lost to George Washington 21-14 (OT) in the opening round of the playoffs back on Friday night. Souk took over at Oak Hill following a long tenure at Mount Hope High School when it closed in 2011.

In all, Souk has spent nearly 40 years coaching. He led Mount Hope to a state championship back in 1989. His Oak Hill squad in 2012 lost in the opening round of the playoffs to top seed Cabell Midland.
