One charged in store attack

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston woman who allegedly assaulted a worker at a Kanawha County store last month while leaving with a cart load of stolen merchandise was arrested over the weekend.

Shadonna Collins, 25, was charged with robbery Saturday and was being held in the South Central Regional Jail.  Bond for her was set at $20,000.

Surveillance video showed a woman, who was allegedly Collins, walking out of Marshall’s on RHL Boulevard in South Charleston on Sunday, Nov. 24.  When a store manager tried to stop her and ask for a receipt, the manager was pushed to the ground and kicked in the head in front of other shoppers.

Investigators said Collins then took the cart full of designer purses and other items to her SUV and drove away from the store.

An anonymous tip lead police to Collins.
