One wounded in Fayette bar shooting

GLEN JEAN, W.Va. — A Columbus, Ohio man could soon face additional charges connected to a shooting at a Fayette County bar early Saturday morning.

Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said Kevin J. Dumas, 20, was awaiting extradition to Ohio, this weekend, where he was wanted on a separate assault charge.

Dumas was arrested during a traffic stop in Beckley shortly after Emanuel Stoumile, 28, of Beckley was shot in the leg around 3:20 a.m. Saturday at Drifter’s Bar in Glen Jean.

Investigators said a bar fight lead the shooting and Dumas quickly fled in a stolen vehicle.

Stoumile, who was being treated at Raleigh General Hospital, was reportedly not cooperating with deputies.
