Princeton man dead after being struck by train

KEGLEY, W.Va. — A Princeton man died Monday from injuries suffered after a Norfolk Southern train struck him.

The train’s engineer told investigators the man, later identified as Delmar Chambers, Jr., 44, of Princeton, made no attempt to get off the tracks.

Investigators said the deadly collision occurred on the tracks close to Route 19 in Kegley at around 2:30 Monday morning.
