CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Capital senior defensive lineman James Walton is given the annual Hunt Award, which goes to the state’s best interior lineman selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
Walton led Capital defensively, averaging over nine tackles per contest. He also totaled 31 tackles for a loss, 17 sacks and three blocked punts.
The Cougars finished the year with an 11-2 record, falling in the semifinals to eventual champion Martinsburg, 35-21.
