Beckley police seeking man who approached young girls at store

Beckley police are seeking information on this man who is suspected of inappropriately touching young girls at a Kohl’s department store in Beckley on Monday.

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Police said they have a “strong lead” on a male suspect wanted for inappropriately touching young girls at a department store in Raleigh County this week.

Investigators said three girls reported the incidents on Monday at the Kohl’s department store in Beckley.

Detectives said surveillance video showed the same man may have approached several others who did not report the crimes. Those victims are being urged to contact Beckley police.

The suspect is described as a white man of medium build with dark hair, believed to be in his early- to mid-30s, between 5-foot-10 and 6-1 tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
