Accused Beckley molester arrested

BECKLEY, W.Va. — A man wanted for inappropriately touching young girls at a department store in Raleigh County earlier this week is behind bars at the Southern Regional Jail.

Tips were called in to Beckley Police after surveillance video of the suspect was released Wednesday.

Investigators said Henry Duncan, 35, turned himself in to Beckley Police on Thursday morning and was charged with three counts of sexual abuse involving juveniles.

Back on Monday, three girls reported that a man had grabbed their backsides at the Beckley Kohl’s Department Store.

Store employees said they tried to stop Duncan as he fled the store.

His arrest came less than 24 hours after surveillance video was released so members of the public could help police identify him.

Investigators said that video showed Duncan may have approached other juveniles.  Those victims were being asked to contact Crimestoppers at 304-255-STOP or the Beckley Police Department.
