Tire fire in Nicholas County

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. — A tire store in Nicholas County was destroyed by flames early Saturday morning.

Emergency dispatchers said the C. Adam Toney Discount Tire Store on Broad Street in Summersville was “on the ground” by 6:15 a.m. The fully involved fire was reported at just after 4:30 a.m.

Fire crews from throughout Nicholas County were called to the scene and were expected to be there for several hours. Flames and thick black smoke covered the area.

No injuries were reported.
