Fire damages Waste Management office in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — A Friday night fire in Harrison County caused heavy damage to the offices of Waste Management Incorporated.

The blaze broke out about 8:30 at the company’s offices in Bridgeport. Four fire crews responded in frigid conditions to battle the blaze. Smoke poured from the building and the fire was through the roof. It took fire fighters about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

Nobody was in the building at the time of the fire and nobody injured.  A cause for the fire is under investigation. Fighters say the were able to save some important documents stored in the building’s office area.
