Video: Carey and WVU players react after loss to Baylor

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — On the heels of a 78-62 loss to No. 7 Baylor, West Virginia women’s coach Mike Carey credited the Bears for their first-half aggression.

Forward Jess Harlee thought WVU’s offense was “out of sorts,” but she recognized that the 48-point game from Baylor’s Odyssey Sims was back-breaking.

“She can do everything—she can shoot the pull-up, she can shoot the 3 and she can get to the basket,” Harlee said. “She had 48 points—that’s way too many for one player to have.”

View the coach and players’ postgame reaction above. As for Baylor, Kim Mulkey and Odyssey Sims share their thoughts below on the victory and Sims’ 48-point effort.
