The shooting reportedly happened at his home on Ruffner Avenue on the city’s East Side. According to police, 55-year-old James Stewart allowed two men into his residence in order to purchase narcotics. That’s when one of the men pulled out a gun and attempted to rob Stewart, firing one shot.

Stewart was taken to CAMC General where he underwent surgery.
