Trial date set for accused Harrison County killer

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A trial date is set for April for the Fairmont man who is accused of killing four people in Harrison County last July.

Sidney Muller, 27, plead not guilty to four murder charges during his arraignment in Harrison County Circuit Court on Thursday.  A Harrison County Grand Jury indicted him last week.

Muller is charged with the deaths of Christopher Hart, 26, Todd Russell Amos, 29, Freddy Swiger, 70, and Fred Swiger, 47, all of Harrison County.

Investigators claimed Muller shot and killed Hart and Amos at a home on Locust Ave. in Clarksburg on July 26, 2013 while trying to collect a $10,000 drug debt for pills he had provided.

The Swigers, a father and son team delivering newspapers on their normal route, were shot and killed outside of the home.  Police have said they were innocent bystanders.

Harrison County Circuit Judge Thomas Bedell is handling the Muller case.  The deadline for pre-trial motions is Feb. 28.

As of now, his trial is scheduled to begin on April 14.
